What's up!!! Tre' Day and the champ, Jermain Taylor, (pictured above) have some big news for ya! Before we get to all that...CONGRATULATIONS to my lastest winner of some Everyday All Day Gear, Marueen Bryant of Dumas!!! She proved it literally can pay to read this page as she correctly answered the question presented in my last entry. Thank you to everyone who took part in the contest and don't worry if you didn't win this time, we'll have PLENTY more coming up soon. Verse 5: Dreams Come True

I made a lot of men's (and women's) dreams come true when I helped bring "The Baddest Chic," Trina to Little Rock last year. She was kind enough to join us for a Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort and for that I will always be grateful. Many know her for her booty, however I was most impressed by her intellegence! Trina ain't no joke anyway you look at her!

And just to be clear...I know she did say we were offically dating, but that was just to distract the amount of calls we had asking about Lil' Wayne! Even though she refused to talk about it on my show, it was clear by her smile and dancing that her and Lil' Wayne do or did have something going on! (By the way, she had a huge ice cube on her ring finger.)

Now for the pixx I recieved over 300 e-mails on...BEYONCE!!!! As Eric from North Little Rock stated on my radio show today, "If you've ever dreamed of seeing through Beyonce's shirt or wondered what's going on under her dress...Tre' Day has made your dreams come true." So, without further adew....

Verse 2: Free Money

You want it??? FREE MONEY, that is...I give it out every year!!! Either on my radio show or through the TreDay.com Scholarship Project at my alma mater, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. In fact, the deadline for this year's application was yesterday!!! So, thank you to all of the applicants, because we didn't have any last year! Applications will re-open this fall for next year's awards and I hope you apply even if you don't quailfy!

The scholarship I was awarded out of high school was for students with a 3.25 gpa or better. I didn't have that, however I tried anyway and guess what....The school had more money than students asking for it, so they ended up paying my entire way through college!!!

Sorry I have to make it quick today, but I have to go grab these R. Kelly tickets I'm giving away tomorrow! If you wanna go, let me know! Just like the moral of my scholarship story: You never know what may happen, so try!

Verse 1: The First Date

Spirit...that word means so many different things to each individual. I think most people would agree it's a word with importance and deep roots. Even that though doesn't capture it for me. My Spirit...is my world, my love, my fiance'!!!

Our first date was exactly 2 years ago today. We consider it our anniversary because after that day, we basically were inseperable. I knew she was the one the moment I saw her, however I had a small doubt after our first date to be honest.

From my perspective: She was late + I was asking all the questions = She wasn't feeling me :( Luckly, I was wrong and it's been smooth sailing ever since! Of course we had to navigate through some rough seas, but we've stuck together and not let the other one fall overboard.

Your last first date is a beautiful thing...almost as special as the date you set after the ring!!!

Verse 4: Lessons Learned

Pretty Ricky is a good example of why I love my job. Not because I get to meet and hang out with celebrities, but because everyday is something different. With great callers like you and crazy artisits like Pretty Ricky stopping by...you never quite know what to expect, and to me, that's one of the great things about my show. (2-6pm, CST, on www.Power923.com) First lesson: Find something that you love to do and make that your job! In my opinion, it will make your life much happier and you will be successful at it if you enjoy it. Stick it with even if you don't make as much money as you like or if things don't exactly go as planned.

Example: one night back in 1997 I was doing my first show ever on the radio...2-6am Sunday mornings before the Power Gospel Show! (amen!) Even though I was nervous, I thought even if I messed up not many people would be up at that time to hear the mistake, right??? WRONG! I couldn't believe the amount of calls coming in from people working the third shift, people just chillin' at the house, or people coming home from the club so they could freshen up before heading to church. :) Anyways, I played this song from Eazy-E. I don't remember the name of it, but I can easily recall the lyrics after a smooth 45 seconds, Eazy says: "And you know I hate a lie (music fades out for 2 seconds, into gunshots) MOTHER******* GONNA DIE!!!"

I doubt my boss was awake at that time, however he did end up hearing it somehow and I thought I was the one who was gonna die! I accidentally played the dirty version instead of the radio version, (obvisouly) and it taught me another important lesson: Pay attention to detail. My boss did like the fact that I didn't panic, I took responsibility for the error, and I've been perfect since! :) Just playin'!!! I just try to do a better job than I did the day before and that's all I can do...keep improving.

Verse 3: My Favorites

I told you I would bring you my favorite celebrities today in the 3rd verse of the chapter and here they are!!! First and foremost...the woman with her statue in the picture above, Minnijean Brown Trickey! Minnijean is one of the Little Rock Nine, who continue to make a great difference in young peoples lives every day. If you don't know what the Little Rock Nine accomplished, please look it up! As a matter of fact, if your planning on attending the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, write a article on it's meaning today and you could win my scholarship!! To me, the story of the Little Rock Nine is one of the greatest stories ever told...kids changing the world!!!

As some of you know Minnijean is much more than an inspiration to me...she is my future mother in law! I will be marrying one of her beautiful daughters, Spirit, this fall and I couldn't be happier. Spirit, (who you will read more about in the upcoming 5th verse,) is one of the organizers of the 2006 Chili Incident taking place this Sunday, 1pm, in the Central High School cafeteria. This is your official invite! Celebrity chefs including this man:

No, that's not Clarence Carter...but, it is another one of my favorite celebrities - Broadway Joe!!! It's true that he is my boss and helps me pay my bills, however what I really like about Joe is the difference he makes in the community everyday. Where do you think I got it from? Joe has been a huge influence in my community efforts, but to be honest...I'm not sure how his chili tastes! We'll find out this weekend!!! Hopefully, you'll join me...if not at Central High on Sunday, then right back here Monday! Tre' Day and Bobby Valentino start off the second verse in the Celebrities chapter! (Thanks for visiting TreDay.com!) Did you know Bobby actually got is haircut in the bathroom of the Power 92 before went to the "meet and greet" session with our listeners? See I told ya you'd get inside information by checking this out everyday!!!

And speaking of inside information...it seems I may have been one of the first people to recieve the pics from Tyson Beckford's alleged celebration over the weekend. (Thanks Daph) Once the word got out, over 250 e-mails were in my box asking about them. Just to be clear, I was not there...I did not take the pictures...therefore, I don't know anything regarding pics or the individuals in them. With that being said, here are the pics I recieved and I'll be looking forward to your feedback on them:

Thanks for reading the first entry in the Book of TreDay.com!!! I will be writing in here each weekday to keep you up to date with what really going on, so make it a part of your daily routine!

The big news today is that the date has been set for my 3rd annual Celebrity Birthday Bowling Bash...July 22nd 2006!!! Location: millennium Bowl in North Little Rock off the Maumelle exit. We'll have a 3pm start time again with more great Celebrities like past participants Jermain Taylor (middleweight boxing champion), Derek Fisher (NBA), Corliss Williamson (NBA), Anthony Lucas (NFL / My workout partner), Pete Weber (Hall of Fame Bowler), Reggie Swinton (NFL), Minnijean Brown Trickey (One of the Little Rock Nine / My future Mother in Law), Broadway Joe (Power 92 Morning host / my Boss), and many many others!

All proceeds from my Bowling Bash go toward the TreDay.com Scholarship Project I set up at my Alma Mater, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock! As a matter of fact, the deadline for this year awards totaling $4,000 is March 7th!!! So please if you know anyone attending the Mass Communications Department at UALR, have them complete the requirements a.s.a.p.
